Strategic Analytics Consider strategic analytics as it relates to an organization with which you are familiar. LITERALLY ANY ORGANIZATION IN USA THAT YOU HAVE GOOD DETAILED INFO ON. AKA GOOGLE, NETFLIX, APPLE AND WHATNOT. Address each of the points below, applying the core analytics model that is at the heart of this course. * Provide a very brief description of your selected organization (the type of organization, the way in which it generates profits and revenue, etc.). Does the type of organization determine the metrics and measurements used for strategic decision making? * Describe the business strategy for your selected organization and analyze human resource metrics and measurements for strategic decision making. * What is distinctive about the organization compared to its competitors: * What are its sources of competitive advantage? Provide examples of validated survey constructs or archival measures that could be used to measure competitive advantage. * What organizational capabilities create that competitive advantage? * What are the key elements of organization design that support the organization’s strategy? Why is it organized that way? Provide examples of validated survey constructs or archival measures that could be used to analyze the effectiveness of the organization design as it relates to the organization’s strategy. * What type of culture does the organization need to cultivate to get alignment between the organization design and the strategy? Provide examples of validated survey constructs or archival measures that could be used to analyze the cultural impact on the organization’s strategic goals. * What are key types of talent that the organization needs to be successful? What type of measurement could be used to inform a strategic decision for hiring? Formatting * Length: Your paper should be approximately 5-7 pages in length. Points will be deducted for papers that exceed the specified length (see rubric below for more details).
